Idea Bootcamp

Have a business idea and not sure where to start? Join us for the Idea Bootcamp and go from idea to startup plan in a single day!

The Idea Bootcamp is a no-cost, one-day intensive hosted at various locations across the region. When you’re ready to take the first step in bringing your vision to life, bootcamp is the place to start.

Sign up for Idea Bootcamp if:

  • You have a business idea

  • You don’t know where to start

  • You want to test your idea

  • You want to get connected to your entrepreneurial community

6SEED

A dynamic six-week program designed specifically for side hustles and volunteer-run nonprofits that are ready to grow into their first full time employee.

6SEED is a no-cost, 6-week program that culminates in a pitch event.

Sign up for 6SEED if:

  • You have completed Idea Bootcamp

  • You have a side hustle (or volunteer nonprofit) you wish you could do full time

  • You have incorporated your business

  • You are not sure how to grow

ACCELER8

An 8-week program designed to take entrepreneurs through marketing and branding, operations, finance, and strategic planning, and building systems to scale.

For ACCELER8 NonProfit, this also includes board development and funding strategies.

Sign up for ACCELER8 or ACCELER8 NP if:

  • You have an existing business or nonprofit organization

  • You have goals to grow

  • If you’re a nonprofit, you want to improve your board or fundraising strategies

  • You want to grow your network of other business owners and nonprofit leaders

Lucas Forum

First Wednesdays at 9am (except Jan + July ).

Join us on the first Wednesday of each month as local entrepreneurs share their stories, plans, and challenges. All are welcome in this supportive event to learn more about exciting endeavors in our community.

The Lucas Challenge: Business Pitch Competition

The Lucas Center’s Annual Business Pitch Competition is an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to win cash prizes to support the formation of their business. Workshops, coaching, and mentoring accompany the Pitch Competition schedule.

Register yourself or your team in one of four categories: general business ideas, food/restaurant ideas, sustainability solutions, and technology.

Our Mentor Meetups are an opportunity for your volunteer mentors to meet each other, ask questions and get clarification for their entrepreneurs, and sign up for mentor orientation or trainings.
