Lucas Center for Entrepreneurship - Internship Position
Position Overview
The Lucas Center for Entrepreneurship is seeking a motivated student intern to join our dynamic team and support our goal of fostering the entrepreneurial spirit across our region. This position offers hands-on experience in entrepreneurship programming, event coordination, and relationship building while contributing to initiatives that support aspiring entrepreneurs and established small businesses.
Position Details
Hours: 10 hours per week
Compensation: $12 per hour
Location: Downtown location currently at 209 Gloucester St Suite 211, Brunswick, GA (reliable transportation required)
Duration: Academic term/semester basis beginning Fall 2025 with the option to extend to additional semesters
Key Responsibilities
Campus Outreach & Program Promotion
Serve as campus liaison to promote Lucas Center initiatives and programs;
Recruit participants for the Lucas Challenge Student Pitch Event and other entrepreneurship programs;
Coordinate outreach efforts to engage student entrepreneurs across campus.
Event Support & Coordination
Assist with planning and executing Lucas Challenge Student Pitch Event;
Attend other pitch nights and regular programming as needed;
Support logistics for workshops, speaker events, and networking sessions.
Administrative & Database Management
Maintain and update CRM database with participant and stakeholder information;
Create engaging content for promotional materials and communications;
Assist with general administrative tasks to support center operations.
Relationship Building
Build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders including students, faculty, alumni, and community partners;
Support networking initiatives and community engagement efforts.
Qualifications
Required
Currently enrolled student in good academic standing;
Reliable transportation to downtown location;
Strong work ethic and dependable work habits;
Self-starter with excellent time-management skills;
Energetic, positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Preferred
Junior or Senior class standing;
Business major or related field;
Bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English preferred but not required).
Technical Skills (Training Provided)
Familiarity with Google Workspace;
Experience with HubSpot CRM (a plus);
Knowledge of Squarespace (a plus).
